 Crossdressers are Heros

Serious cross dressing is a relatively new activity for me.

Until around 2006 (before easy Internet access), my life was characterized by alternating periods of trial and (mostly) error coupled with feelings of guilt/fear and periods of painful enforced denial. It was a lonely, frustrating and difficult time. I believe many readers will understand those feelings all too well.

Because of web sites such as this wonderful one hosted by Rachel, it was clear I was not alone. What a relief and life saver for overcoming fear! That is why I’m so pleased to now share my simple story and images with others on this site as a way of saying “Thank you”.

Overcoming fear doesn’t happen instantly or automatically. It is the result of deliberate intention, and conscious action towards doing things that scare you. As a result of overcoming your fears, you grow as a person, and expand the possibilities that surround your life. Is it surprising to think that overcoming the fear of cross dressing is an opportunity to expand and grow? It most definitely is!

Do you recall the last time you wanted to do something intensely (i.e. cross dressing) but fear got in your way? We all have those moments when we are enthralled with an idea only to have fear prevent us from moving forward. What can we do to overcome fear and prevent it from paralyzing us so we can move forward with our dreams and desires? For many of us, it is learning through the experience of others shared on this site and elsewhere. That has certainly worked for me and many I know.

Isn’t it interesting how the concept of playing it safe makes many people choose being miserable over being happy? This is true in many ways with crossdressing being just an example. It is a choice so why not be happy?

My message to readers is simple. Acknowledge your fear and find a way to get past it. If a hero is someone who overcomes fear, then every crossdresser is a hero.  You can do it.
