I think my story is very similar to that of other gals. I became interested in dressing at a young age, and would sneak in to try on my mom's clothes when I could, and even my aunt's when we would visit her. I have dressed on and off over the years, and purged a couple of times.
I am happily married with a teenage daughter, and this "hobby" is something my wife can never find out about. I really don't think she would understand. That said, my opportunities to dress are few and far between. Over the past two years, I have been able to dress four times, and I went 15 years without dressing until I discovered Adrian Acosta in NYC in 2014. Now, whenever I'm in NYC on business, I try to schedule a transformation session with Adrian, as those are pretty much the only times I can dress. Adrian is wonderful and I heartily recommend him to any gal who wants a transformation.
I live on the east coast, in the mid-Atlantic region, and I have also discovered Elizabeth Taylor (Makeovers by Elizabeth Taylor in Alexandria, VA), and have been to her once for a transformation. I plan on going back as she is more local for me, and will hopefully give more opportunities to dress going forward. She is also wonderful and I recommend her services.
In terms of my interests, I'm a huge sports fan -- baseball, college football, and college hoops. I love classic rock music, mostly 1970's and 1980's, pretty typical guy stuff. I have made some great friendships with like-minded gals via Flickr (thank goodness the Internet exists, otherwise I would think I'm some sort of freak), and hope I can meet more. I can be reached via email at email@example.com or via Flickr Mail.
Thank you so much, Rachel, for choosing me to be a "Girl of the Month." I know that I am joining many gals that I have admired over the years and it is truly an honor to be part of this group.
